Our history

Sum Dynamics > Our history

Sum Dynamics was founded with a single mission — to build indigenous, next-generation UAV and Ground Control technologies for India. What began as a small R&D initiative led by Founder Robin Singh, backed by 19 years of experience in cloud, DevOps, security, and systems engineering, gradually evolved into a focused aerospace and defense technology startup.

In the early phase, the team began experimenting with airframe concepts, propulsion setups, communication links, and telemetry models. These early prototypes became the foundation for the company’s first major development effort: a SwitchBlade-class loitering UAV, engineered for ISR and tactical applications.

As the vision grew, Co-Founder Pooja Singh Chauhan brought her 12 years of project delivery expertise from IBM, creating structure, discipline, and strategic planning across the development cycle. This strengthened Sum Dynamics’ ability to handle multi-phase engineering, testing, and field-readiness workflows.

The team expanded with specialists in frontend engineering, avionics, digital media, and mechanical design — transforming the company from a small idea-stage operation into a dedicated R&D-driven startup with clear milestones, testing cycles, and a roadmap for product deployment.

Today, Sum Dynamics is actively developing:

A Ground Control Station (GCS) built for secure, real-time mission control

A SwitchBlade-class UAV platform undergoing active testing and refinement

Support systems for integration, mission analytics, and future swarm capability

With every prototype, every test flight, and every engineering iteration, Sum Dynamics moves closer to its vision of building reliable, indigenous UAV systems designed for defense, protection, and mission success.

The journey is just beginning — and the future is being engineered one milestone at a time.
